TREASURE ISLAND, Fla., – As National Recovery Month comes to an end, the team at Footprints Beachside Recovery Center in Treasure Island has completed moving to a new, larger treatment center across the street from their previous location on 107th Avenue.
The new space is three times larger than their last center. Footprints Beachside Recovery Center was founded in 2008 and is a drug and alcohol treatment facility.
“Even though our treatment center has grown in size, our individualistic approach and capping our enrollment to 14 individuals will remain the same,” said John Templeton Jr., president of Footprints Beachside Recovery Center. “Making sure that no one gets lost in our program is what ensures our high success rate.”
The new treatment center will serve as networking space for community mental health training sessions, continuing education events for local clinicians and host workshops on addiction related treatment and psychoeducation. It will also allow the Footprints team to provide more treatment options to people in recovery.
According to Templeton, treatment at Footprints is successful because they treat the whole person. They offer group therapy, individual psychotherapy, trauma focused therapy, family therapy, expressive arts therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming Hypnosis (NLP), yoga, nutrition, exercise, drumming and meditative therapy, meditation, personal training, relapse prevention, addiction education, medication management, outpatient and residential treatment, and sober recreational outings like paddle-boarding and bowling.
Since the founding of Footprints, hundreds of people have changed their lives and found sobriety through their program.
