I wanted to thank John Tempelton’ my Therapist Scott Collins. All the other therapist and staff. They are all great and really have helped me through the time I have been at Footprints. If you need help do not waste time and get it. Footprints is a very structured but accommodating and everyone seems very invested in your recovery and well being. I and the therapist worked on myself and some childhood as well as understanding that it is ok to ask for help and that you do not have to do everything in life yourself. Going to footprints recovery may of been the greatest life changing thing to ever happen to me. A place to focus on myself, my recovery, and my mental health. I highly recommend Ranch Creek Recovery both as an inpatient as well as the outpatient program. I spent a week as an inpatient and Will, Jorge and Jimmy helped change my life. I had some great conversations with them and learned a lot of tools on what to do once I left the house. The outpatient program with Derek and Vanessa was also amazing. With weekly drug and alcohol tests it kept me accountable while also participant in very well organized and effective group meeting to continue to learn how to stay sober.

I did not want to do recovery after ten years of sobriety. I chose to drink in isolation for a year in a loneliness I never knew existed. And finally I was given an ultimatum by my family, to go to rehab or get out!

I can’t say enough good things about my family’s experience with Ranch Creek Recovery.
After more treatment programs than I care to disclose, we helped a loved one check in to RCR. From the moment we walked her through the door, we felt surrounded by a caring and compassionate team who truly had our loved one’s best interests at heart. The personalized care and holistic approach they provide made her feel like she was more than just a client, she was a person on a journey to a better life.
She liked the small group setting and one-on-one therapy sessions.
The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and situated in a peaceful location. When we would go to visit, it was always a pleasant and relaxing experience. The luxury amenities were a big factor in her being able to relax and stay put; if she wasn’t comfortable we feared she might not stay to finish the program, but our first experience there calmed those concerns.
The aftercare support and alumni network have been very helpful, post-treatment.
Overall, we found the staff at Ranch Creek Recovery to be dedicated, non-judgmental, and impressive in their nature and knowledge. They provided good communication, helped us navigate the insurance process, and provided a safe and comfortable for recovery.
I recommend Ranch Creek Recovery for anyone looking for a trustworthy and effective treatment program. As I type this review, our girl is over 9 months totally clean and sober, and is happier than I’ve seen her in over 20 years.

I couldn’t have had a better experience here if I tried. This place and the staff completely changed the direction of my life, and helped me through an incredibly difficult and sensitive time. They were knowledgeable, compassionate, supportive, authentic and fun to be around. They gave me tools that I’ll have for the rest of my life and the space and encouragement I needed to become strong in my sobriety. I swear it was sad for me to leave, it started to feel like home. I absolutely loved the sound therapy, equine therapy, the gym, and the swimming pool with gorgeous views. The house was clean and comfortable, and the schedule was interactive and manageable for someone recovering. I always felt safe and like I could get help if I needed it. The small patient size made it feel really personal but also gave you an opportunity to interact with others, which was somewhat difficult for me during that time. I feel like a completely new person and am so so grateful that I chose Ranch Creek and this team to help me get my life back on track. I cannot recommend it enough for folks who want to quit drinking and use a non-12 step approach. Special shout out to my counselors and friends there Jeralyn, Jimmy, Christine, Will, and Jorge!!! I just completed this outpatient program and I genuinely recommend. The staff, the groups, and the support made a huge impact on me. I don’t have words to explain how grateful I am about the tools both Derick and Vanessa had taught. And all the treatment centers I’ve been to They have been the best counselors and the most inspiring People to .I really, really liked my experience here—it helped me understand myself, stay accountable, and build real tools for staying sober. Even though I’ve never been a client myself, I’ve had the privilege of working with their team for nearly 10 years—and I can confidently say they operate with a level of integrity, compassion, and professionalism that is rare in the rehab industry.

I have been through about 9 treatment centers. The cravings are always there, I am afraid and resistant to getting help. I usually leave or give up after week two or three. I’ve noticed a significant change here at Footprints Beachside Recovery for me. I don’t want to leave, my cravings have almost gone down completely and I look forward to learning something new everyday. I am an escape artist. I run when things get tough. The way the beach is utilized here is perfect for me to find serenity, peace and calmness within myself. Meetings are enforced everyday and recreational activities. We are also able to go to the gym as I am a world class martial artist. I was about to give up on myself before I found this program. Thank God I came here.

Tools for Sobriety are taught and expected to be used. This Program taught me accountability and self reliance in my Sobriety. Those that seek sobriety with Selflessness here will achieve a Level of Success that they may have never dreamed of. At least I have! As a former Garbage Head I knew the Staff from Ms.T all the way through to Halle and Phil to Scott and Randi but also Jon and his Family. They have their own stories and experiences having successful for and in sobriety. But most importantly on how to pick yourself up from falling away. Thank You Everyone for Delivering the tools I forgot I had and giving me the nudge to Self Confidence in Self Reliance. Learned how to care to pick them up

Only by God’s grace did I find Footprints.
This journey for me was only going to happen if i truly wanted it. The way of life there is very different from other treatment centers. The freedom I had to live a somewhat normal life while also giving me the structure that I needed. Not to mention it’s in a beautiful place where I could walk to the beach every day. The people there are what really make it a special place. All the way from the owner, to the therapist, to the former clients that helped me with every day life.
To go from not knowing where to even start, to be where I am today is a huge testament to Footprints and its people. They gave me the knowledge, tools and love that I needed to begin this new life.

This is, by far, the best recovery center that I have experienced and heard of. I have been sober since I left Ranch Creek 3 1/2 years ago. They saved my life physically, as I was about a month away from being put onto the liver transplant list, they saved my marriage and relationship with our four children, and they saved me emotionally, as Dr. Dena was able to get some of my issues to a conclusion without me using alcohol to numb the pain. I do the work every single day, but I wouldn’t be here without Ranch Creek. They definitely do it right!

This place has saved my life. The counselors, the nurses, the teachings (tools), and the environment were amazing. They were very patient, caring, and understanding. I learned so much there and gained a whole new self identity. After inpatient, they offered me an outpatient program that you can partake either in-person or via Zoom. That is so necessary and beneficial as well. I would suggest that anyone who wants and needs to get their life back or reshape who they are for the better to give this place a try. I live life through new eyes and with a healthy mind. You won’t be disappointed.

Owner, Director, therapists, nurses, counselors, and support staff are all really great. I had no issues with anyone in particular. They are all there to help you however they can. I found that everyone advocated for my well being, were available when I needed them, and did their best to support me, check in on me, and make sure I was happy and comfortable.
(why not 5/5? They have had a bunch of turnover and need to update their website with their newer staff members and qualifications. Additionally the Doctors they partner with were not as thorough as I would have wanted, and were kind of pushy with medications)

Program: 4/5
Small groups for the win! You get a lot of attention if you need it. This is a Holistic approach rehab. They do not focus on any 12 step programs. You have daily classes with different counselors, focusing on the science behind addiction, anger management, talk therapy, art therapy, equine therapy, nutrition, and much more. You have one-on-one sessions twice a week with a Licensed Therapist, and you have access to a gym daily, with a yoga instructor and trainer coming a few times a week. You also have a docent that comes once a week to do sound therapy, and you can learn techniques such as tapping. They have 2 doctors on staff you will have Zoom appointments with, and someone is always present to distribute morning, afternoon, and bedtime medication. You can also always grab whomever is on-call to talk through any issues or questions you have.
(why not 5/5? Overall I found that there was too much down-time. I got bored and restless with that much free time and I craved more structure. Additionally I thought that the family Zoom sessions could have served as a stronger resource for loved ones)

Location: 4/5
Murrieta is a quiet, tranquil area, with mountain views, a lot of farmland, and very little public noise to distract you. When you do leave the house, you get to visit a small farm that is very close by to interact with horses and goats, etc. You also have an outing on Saturdays for a few hours that allows you as a group to get out of the house. The immediate area has all the basic stores and activities you would want, like target/walmart/grocery/7-11/etc as well as mini golf, bowling… You do need to decide as a group where you want to go because you have 1 chaperone and need to stay together at all times.
(why not 5/5? There are 2 different houses located about 10 minutes away from each other. The Bass house advertised on the website is much nicer and larger than the Doreen house. During my time the clients staying at the Doreen house were shuttled over to the Bass house for our daily classes and sessions, not being able to utilize their own kitchen, rooms, and bathrooms during the day. I was also told by clients that the Doreen house was not as nice as the Bass House)

Amenities: 4/5
Pool – (I was there in the winter, so it was not heated and basically unusable, however, I did do some cold plunges just for the shock)
Hot tub – available once a week on Friday evenings
Yard – Large Grass Backyard and cement patio with tables and chairs
Gym – Available daily. TV for movies or music. Free weights, yoga mats, and a few outdated cardio machines that mostly worked.
Kitchen – Large kitchen, multiple Fridges/Freezers, Huge pantry for preparing anything you want, ovens, microwave, toasters, dishwasher, outdoor gas grill, etc…
Pool table, ping pong table, arts and crafts table, outdoor TV, Indoor TV, Computer, land-line house phone.
Comfortable rooms and bathrooms with laundry access, and provided bedding and towels.
(why not 5/5? I was disappointed that it wasn’t clear that the pool and hot tub didn’t have daily access as advertised, and that the gym was more outdated than described/pictured. They also could make some very inexpensive recreation investments like a basketball for their outdoor hoop, soccer ball, frisbees, croquet set, bocce, etc for their giant lawn to be used during the extensive downtime)

Ranch Creek Recovery is the best way to start your new healthy way of life. This program actually saved my life and my sanity. Their Holistic approach was amazing and I learned so much from my counselors and Dr. Dena. With only a limited number of participants in the house at one time, you are guaranteed the one on one time, as well as the group counseling they offer in a safe and comfortable setting. They make you aware that they truly care and are there to support you , listen to you, and most important to teach you. Teach you information about triggers, cognitive behavior and how to stay sober. They include therapy through others means such as Yoga, Meditation, working with Horses and even Physical Training. Ranch Creek makes sure when you leave you are good, Mind, Body and Soul. They have an excellent Intensive Outpatient Program (10) weeks that helps navigate your way back into life. A year ago (received my one year chip June 8, 2022) I was lost and a raging out of control alcoholic. I can proudly say today that I am not. I will always be an alcoholic with an addictive personality. But now I have tools, personal contacts and the faith in myself that I have never had before in my 9 years searching for sobriety. I often reflect back on my time at the Bass house. I am probably one of the few that actually stayed 60 days because I had so much to learn. My insurance did not cover all of the last days, but it was worth it to me, so I stayed. I am so grateful to so many of the staff, Jimmie, Christine, Jonathon, Dr. Dena and countless extended staff to name a few, because there were more. I would not be here to tell you it works, because without the treatment and the help I received, I alive today to tell my journey. If you are ready to face the truth, please give them a call.
