TriCare is a health care program for military service members and their families. It provides comprehensive coverage for drug and alcohol treatment, supporting those who have sacrificed and served this great country. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, around one in three military service members who seek treatment for PTSD also has substance abuse. A 2017 study revealed that about 30% of military personnel suicides were preceded by substance abuse. The paper also stated that around 20% of high-risk behavior was attributed to illicit drugs.
Each TriCare patient has a unique treatment plan that fits to their needs. We have experienced trauma therapists, licensed clinicians, and a psychiatric team to help each individual develop a comprehensive treatment plan. We also have alumni groups that meets weekly to discuss issues related to substance abuse and military service. Recovery from substance abuse and alcoholism can be a challenging but rewarding process, and for those who have served our country, it is an honor to help them find their way back to a new way of life. At Footprints Beachside Recovery, we consider it a privilege to help those who have given so much to this country.
